Katherlyn had her first son, Jack, when she was 18 and a senior in high school. She was about to graduate and head to college. Katherlyn had a strong village of women, which included her mother, that stood by her side and lifted her up, helping her to overcome what society said that she couldn’t do– that is why Katherlyn supports The Momentum Network. She can attest that it definitely wasn’t easy, but she knew that she had a chance thanks to her friends and family that supported her. She wants to be an encouragement to others girls, letting them know that you do not have to give up on your dreams, but remain hopeful and strong. Having lived through and seeing the importance of community and a strong network of women supporting women, she knows the importance of a village.
If you are interested in being a part of the village by sharing your story and/or committing to monthly partnership, please join at MomentumNetwork.org/join.
