DESCRIPTION
The MOMentum Network provides sessions for moms to come together with their peers, mentors and topical experts to connect & grow during our asset-based personal & professional development training. We help moms identify and steward their strengths and resources while networking with others to create strategies to overcome obstacles.
These MPower sessions are hosted once a month during the Fall & Spring semesters. They are open to any mom currently enrolled in college or motivated to enroll in college. We also offer the opportunity for female students in college to come and serve and learn with us. Sessions are at no cost due to the support of our “network” but space is limited & pre-registration is required.
March Topic: Career Connections
Building a strong resume starts long before you land your dream job. Come learn how to take steps today toward your future dream job from Trisha Brady, VP of Human Capital and former single mom in college. You’ll also get a chance to practice networking with a round of speed networking with peers & professionals.
*Moms in college & Sisters who complete the class will receive MPower Course Credit*
*Child Care will be provided by the YMCA. *

NOTE: this meeting is hosted at the YMCA Downtown. March at a gym is usually busy, so please plan to arrive early to check in on time. If you are not a member or have not signed a waiver, you will need to stop by the front desk to fill a waiver out.
